as with any automated software, I wouldn't depend solely on it's opinion on software updates. Some manual thought is the best solution. What I like it for is the fact I have numerous downloads, I install a firewall, etc... and then have to do all the updates or to next version. This reminds me to replace my .exe files with updated versions after install or at least, I check for updated versions, so I don't install old next time. It is a hog on resources but just run it when you need it. 20004

I agree with the above (below?) post, it does use a lot of ram when running, but i would not leave it running constantly anyway, I would like to use it every so often. Unfortunately, on my particular computer, it keeps crashing during the initial scan. 19081

Uses a lot of memory. Good program for checking for updates and security patches. If your not sure of the accuracy of the scan results, check where you downloaded or bought the software before updating. 19079

Updating la Secunia can make a muddle of your software: A really big share of my applications are portable. Secunia finds those application and judges them as outdated. If I then try the solution Secunia proposes, and update my applications, my portable versions would be replaced with installed versions! 18958

Nice for warning you about insecure and old programs, although "old" isn't the same as "useless." However, I couldn't update from an earlier version. I'm a knowledgeable user, with several "cleaner" tools and an understanding of registry editing, and I STILL couldn't get the update to work. The website has suggestions for solving the problem, but they didn't help me. You might want to wait for the final version to be available. 18823

Secunia PSI helped me patch some of my software that I would have never guessed had patches available. This program is a must have if you want to be sure your applications are secure and have the latest updates. (who doesn't?) Secunia pointed out one of my programs as no longer being supported and possibly vulnerable to security threats. I was able to research the application and decided to keep it. With the push of a button, Secunia now ignores that program and will still scan the rest of my system. So fast! So smooth! So easy! 18773

This is an amazing program.I thought my computer programs were up to date .The program found 2 items which should be updated! Easy to use. Easy to configure. Saves a lot of time. Nothing to complain? Maybe the fact that it (still)does not recognize all your computer programs. Give it a try and you will be in love... 18613

Thanks for this great piece of software. Checked 68 apps and found three that needed updating and set up the updates so all I had to do was click my way out of there. Updates installed done deal. 18596
