It is pretty good for a free version except for the nag screen and one email account. I have used the pro version for several years and loved it until they stopped the free lifetime upgrades last month. I will have to look elsewhere for a spam filter that keeps it promise of free lifetime upgrades. 22630

The best program that I've come across for sieving through e-mails. The program is small,easy on system resources,fairly stable and easy to use once setup is completed. I find the best part of this program (that other free ones don't have) is its ability to bounce messages back to the sender or domain. 11201

I use MailWasher Pro for sometime - app.2.5 years - and it's getting better. Spam it's really filtered and deleted automatically from the server, as per user "learn" mode to the program.It's fast and only lacks the ability to view legitimate mail in html form from the source.Nevertheless, a very simple and efficient spam eliminator 10016

Like all the other users I got tired of receiving junk and pesky e-mails from people I did not want to know with MailWasher hey presto no more problems. The auto-delete and bounce feature is really nice, it sends a message back to the sender saying your address no longer valid and they stop sending after a while.
Takes a short time to set up this freeware and once you have gone through the steps its a breeze to use as it will stop blacklisted e-mails from getting through and allow friends to still contact you.
Its FREE!
I recommend it! 9146

Though not as full featured as some, still MailWasher is exceptionally good. I use MailWasher Pro 5.0 and it's saved me a lot of work. I no longer have to manage spam folders in my email client or quarantine areas kept on my disk. It only goes to my client/disk if I want it! That's GREAT!
If you want something extremely easy to use with a modest interface/feature set/price, then you can't go wrong with MailWasher!

This is excellent email screening software that allows you to automatically eliminate spam or other unwanted messages from your inbox. It learns want you do not want and can automatically delete such email from ever being opened or viewed 8766

Mailwasher has been a real help, reducing the number of spam mails I have to deal with daily from over 150 to less than 10. I use it very aggressively, which means I do not even see what has been filtered out unless I go to the statistics sheet. Once in a great while, a friendly sender somehow gets on the Blacklist and gets rejected and bounced, but that is a price I am very willing to pay. (Those in business may feel otherwise.)
I paid for the Pro version, and feel that the extra protection from First Alert service and DNS lists was well worth the cost. Tech support responds rapidly and in a friendly manner, sometimes with additional advice.
The interface is not totally intuitive but is as much so as any other app of this type. You just have to play with it if you want to get its full benefit.
Half the fun of this app is looking at the graph on the statistics page to see how much mail I never had to look at.
Strongly recommended. 7003

I can only get access on a dial up line and this program will auto dial up my server if not connected, all others tested you have to be on line to connect. Also great for dial up as you can delete the spam at the server without waiting forever for it to download and be processed by other spam programs. If you have more than one account use MailWasher Pro it works great also. Those of us on rusty wire lines will be quite pleased with this program. 6305

The great thing about Mailwasher is that it lets you check email on the server, before you download it, so you can manage your email at the gateway before it even reaches your inbox.
I started with the Free version but upgraded to Mailwasher Pro after a few months because I knew it did the job. I've been using Mailwasher for 2 years now and can say in all honesty that I hardly get any spam, which is quite feat these days, especially as a busy web designer with my (encoded) address on 100s of web pages!
Mailwasher really does work - especially when you 'bounce' messages so that it looks like the address is invalid. Plus, by using Mailwasher you can be sure that you don't download viruses aswell. This program does everything it claims.
During the recent virus attacks it allowed me to easily recognise infected emails and delete them on the ISP mail server. Saved me heaps of time!
I was so impressed I paid for the full version.

We never know when the next virus will arrive in our inbox. Even though we have have anti-virus software installed, they sometimes manage to creep around them and infect our systems. Which one of those spam mails will contain the next virus? I got tired of downloading the daily load of spam mail and etc. So, I downloaded Mailwasher and installed it. I liked it right away and you will too. I can't say enough good things about it. It is easy to use and it works well. Just setup mail account and view your mail on the server and tick for delete or bounch or blacklist. You can add emails / domains to blacklist or friends. After previewing messages and selecting what you want to keep, just click process. Then click - mail program and it calls the default mail program and it gets your mail. Get and try it. I bet you will like it also. Mailwasher is one of my favorite programs.
