I trust it`s reliable... 6/28/2008 12:26:00

I've had a few problems in the last six months, the worst being a hacker attack of some kind. So I got curious about security matters, and started trying various virus and malware programs. I soon came to realize, they give various outcomes: one told me persistently I have a Trojan, whereas more than a dozen others showed nothing! I got confused... I trust ThreatFire's approach is a very sound one: to secure program's function in the original way. If something changes there, that something is wrong - or, at least, worth a notice. I just used RockXP4 to copy my Windows Activation Code, and ThreatFire stopped it completely. I would consider that to be an act of a friend. What if it wasn't I who was messing with the Activation Code? With a good antivirus program, a good firewall, and ThreatFire, I assume I can make it. I recommend it, but if some wanted programs get stopped, just turn it off. Not as nearly difficult as your life may be otherwise! 19221

No good for dial-up... 2/27/2008 16:56:00

If you are on dial-up forget it. It constantly autodials and connects when you don't want it to. No way to disable it when not connected. Will dial up but won't disconnect when its done. However it's a very good program if on DSL or cable.  18502

Threatfire is one of the best security apps Ive tried. It provides a layer of protection that other AV and spyware apps dont. With the ability to add your own custom rules and rootkit scanning, what more can you need? 18049

This replacement for Cyberhawk work well and does what it claims. I have had no problem with it. It has helped keep my PC safe and works quietly unless it needs to warn about an activity. Highly recommended. 17478

Medium footprint, uses very little system resources, and very stable. Have been using this for months now. It is totally unobtrusive and is probably one of the best preventative security applications one could have. In independent testing along with my own; it has beaten out most anti-spyware applications free or paid! Additionally the application needs no constant updating. I would gladly give this program a 5 rating across the board except for its lack luster interface and no bell or whistles features panel. But the bottom line should be "who cares",because what the application does is protect and that it does extremely well! 16239

Seems to really slow things down (dial-up) and most annoyingly caused some apps to hang on closing. Also caused "program not responding' alerts on closing windows. 13618

Excellent if you start manually... 8/1/2006 21:27:00

I have noticed a small increase in boot time with this installed, this can be partially overcome by starting manually: In Services Section of your pc, set the 'Cyberhawk' service start type to 'manual'. When ever you wish to start the service, start->run enter 'cmd' then type 'net start cyberhawk' or 'net stop cyberhawk' respectively. I really like the auto detect of some apps and processes that should be automatically allowed to operate without bugging the user, I was trailling this against comodo personal firewall and found cyberhawk to be as effective without the constant 'allow/deny" messages. I recommend this application. 13593

Slow startup and pc crashing... 7/25/2006 14:33:00

I have noticed that when I installed this on my pc the start menu, pc boot time, and IE 6 would start up slowly or have a significant delay. Not only that, the ctrl-alt-del and the program interface would not pop up after installation. 13523

A great addition to the ever growing arsenal of free security software. Works well alongside your traditional firewall/antivirus/spyware program to add an extra level of security to your PC with the added bonus of being very low on system resources with no noticeable slowdown to your computer. This 'new kid on the block' has the potential to be a big player in the software security league. One to watch! 13520

Appears to block a lot of things as far as my testing went, does not use much ram only thing I dont like is no way to disable it starting with windows-I am a dial-up user and only want to run it while online. 13518
