SpyWare Smasher lets you search for spyware and adware programs installed on your PC and provides you with the option to disable any suspicious findings. The program performs a targeted scan that searches for known adware and spyware components, and also allows you to explore the Startup area, Browser Objects (BHO), Services etc. allowing you to disable/enable any entry. SpyWare Smasher is not quite as user friendly as other programs and also missed several of the commonly detected adware programs during our test. The free version does not expire and allows you to manually scan for adware. It also offers an automated scan and protection, which is however disabled in the free version.
