Ad-Aware is an adware, malware and spyware removal tool that scans your memory, registry, hard, removable and optical drives for known data-mining, aggressive advertising, and tracking components. It then lists the results and offers to remove or quarantine the components. The program detects a wide range of adware/spyware related issues and can be updated with the latest signatures via the built-in update utility.
As of version 10, Ad-Aware sports a new interface and comes with real-time virus scanning (powered by Vipre) and download protection. Note: What is being offered as Ad-Aware Free Version version starts out as a 30-day trial with additional Pro features (Firewall, E-Mail protection) enabled. After 30 days, you can continue to use it as free version without the Pro features.
